Outdoor Living

Whether you’re downstairs Bar-B-Queing or upstairs sun bathing and stargazing, the Mar*Sea Shoals has something for every outdoor enthusiast.

Patios

Over 2,000 square feet of decking is available on the 2nd and 3rd floors plus a private patio on the Crow’s Nest.  The Gulf of Mexico and Galveston Bay can be seen from all of the decks.


The second floor sports an outdoor living room set and swing, both are covered by the third floor deck.

The third floor deck has two outdoor tables which provide seating for 14, plus an assortment of Adirondack chairs.

The unique above-the-roof enclosed air conditioned “crow’s nest” and outside sun-deck on top of the house is the tallest point in the neighborhood.  It has a 360-degree view of the island.  This spot is ideal for photographing sunrises and sunsets and excellent for stargazing.

Beach and Ground Floor

Parking is available for up to 7 cars or you can use the car port for a BBQ.

An open field next door means unobstructed views of the West side of the property.  A walking path between the houses and field takes you straight to the beach.  Bermuda beach is not a private beach, but cars are not permitted on the beach, and the closest public parking lot is 1/4 of a mile away.  Although you will see some people walking by, it is as secluded as you can be an still be close to town.  Due to its secluded location, the locals claim Bermuda Beach is the best beach for sea shells.

Behind the house is an enclosed hot and cold shower.  One faucet and one hose is also available under the car port for rinsing feet, sandals and toys.  Towels can be hung in the foyer, and bathing suits can be hung on the  clothes line by the shower.  The house comes equipped with beach towels for 12 guests.

Open Living Spaces

Reverse floor plans means the beach home is perfect for inside air conditioned open living space entertainment – kitchen, dining, living and game room.

Kitchen has granite countertops, table for 4 plus breakfast bar facing the beach.

The game room also has a queen sleeper sofa and a TV with a DVD player.

Dining room has seating for 12 with a folding table available to seating up to 20, game room table seats 6.

Bedrooms

Master Bedroom

King Bed with a spectacular view of the beach.  A sitting area in front of a TV and “candle-place”.  Step out the sliding door for direct access to a covered deck.  Exterior stairs lead you to the main floor.

The Master Bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub in an amazing bay window.  A separate shower with views of Bermuda Beach through a port window that cannot be beat.  The master bathroom also has a large vanity and separate sinks.

The Retreat

Day bed with a twin and a trundle.  The Day bed and trundle can be pushed together to make a King Size bed.  The Retreat also has a nook for a desk.  Tucked away in the back of the house, this is the perfect spot for making work calls and checking emails while still getting a fabulous view.

The Retreat has access to either the shared bathroom or the Master Bathroom.

Bunk Room

The Bunk Room is very versatile.  Each bed has a double, twin and a trundle underneath.  One of the trundle has wheels that swivel.

A chair in the bunk room can be used for rocking a child to sleep, reading or removed to setup a trundle or pack-n-play (not included).  Although it is hard to see in the picture, the beds are NOT against the window, so there are two fire exit.

Upstairs Bedroom

The fifth bedroom has a queen bed with Gulf Views.  There is plenty of room for a pack-n-play or child’s cot (not included) for afternoon naps.  This area is also good for someone with less mobility since it’s right out side the living room, game room, dining room and kitchen.  There is also a full bathroom available on the third floor.

Crow’s Nest

Although it’s not listed as a bedroom, the Crow’s Nest does have a Futon with the best view on the beach.
